Confessions Of a Shopaholic

Hey Guys, this is not one of those film reviews.

This is a very genuine and hearfelt confession from a true shopaholic . And I am sure many of you will definitely be able to relate to it. ;-)

I just love shopping.

Infact I love shopping anything and everything.Be it clothes/accessories,books or even groceries. I love shopping things I need and those which i don't.

I love shopping for myself and/or for others.

I just love roaming about supermarkets or malls with a lot of shopping bags and/or baskets ;-).

And window shopping is not a bad idea too. Many a times it is window shopping which has initiated deep holes in my purse ;-(

Let me attempt a logical classification of this entertainment

There could basically be 3 types of shopping.(If you identify more please let me know as i would like to attempt those too)

Type 1: Need-triggered shopping

This is the shopping we all do when we really have to buy something. There is basically a clear idea of what actually has to be bought.

Technically speaking, the specifications are clear ;-)

Normally in such cases I go in and out of many shops, compare stuffs and then finally make a decision.Afterall, I need to buy the best!!!!Though it's another thing that after reaching home I feel something else was better ;-(

(and almost often i go back to the first shopI had visited and buy the first piece I had chosen ;-))
If you were to accompany me in any one of these sessions you would have definitely been bugged.Yes, this is definitely a warning ;-)

Type 2: Time killing Shopping

Here the intention is only spending time. This is something which can be attempted on boring weekends and even on weekdays after the core working hours ;-)

There ,naturally ,would not be any shopping list, but only shopping bags !

Type 3: mood-lifter/stress buster Shopping

Shopping is what I prefer doing when I feel low.And this is the worst kind of the lot, because I end up buying only useless things and obviously I have to go back to the shops when i feel better to exchange them ;-)

Simply going through the shops and malls makes me a lot happy.
And it is not necessary that I buy something in these excursions. Seeing and admiring stuff would also suffice.

Well guys, Happy shopping!!!!! ;-)

Strong Mind

I could n't help but admire the man's courage in speaking his mind.

Inspite of the walkout by the western dignatories at a UN racism conference which opened on the eve of Israel's Holocaust Memorial Day in Geneva and inspite of the discouragement from the crowd,Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad delivered a speech that lasted more than a half-hour, saying the United States and Europe had helped establish Israel after World War II and victimise Palestinians "under the pretext of Jewish suffering."

Echoes of Silence

You say it bestWhen you sayNothing at all
You say it bestWhen you sayNothing at all

This is one of my fav songs , but perhaps silence is so beautiful only in poetry.

Silence is the easiest to misunderstand, manipulate, deceive and confuse!!

Silence is the easiest and the most expressive of the excuses.
Silence is that shade of grey, between the affirmative and the negation.

Silence is the viel on the confusions of the self.

I am not talking about those speechless or emotional moments, because then atleast we burst into tears or hug or pat or do something.
What I am talking about is that silence, which feels heavy in the heart, which clouds the inside.
Like the silence when your mom ignores you
Like the silence when your bubbly daughter nurtures her broken heart
Like the silence when your closest friend walks out of your life without a word.

Does'nt it feel heavy inside?Doesn't it leave you dump??
What better can you do than remain silent yourself..

Reloaded!!!!

I knew it was suicidal, but still we went for it.

As somebody aptly summed it up,
The music Plays...
Mohanlal Walks...
Mohanlal kills somebody...
Music Plays....
Mohanlal Walks to the aircraft..
Villian comes in a yatch..
Music plays...
Mohanlal Kicks...
and Sagar Alias Jackie goes on....

The Original movie'Irupathaam noottand'had only one villian. Since this time Suresh Gopi disagreed to play villain, the director had to cast others and the sequel has 5 or 6 villians.
One SG == 6 villians,or so my brother, perhaps the one and only SureshGopi fan, claims.;-)

Some of the few things I could not understand.
(Theoretically, there should be no questions in a story, so what should be the case when there is no story at all?????)
1) Why is Mohanlal speaking Hindi to dubai police
2) Why does Jagathy give mohanlal's dubai number to shobhana and say it is international roaming???
3) What happened to the lorry and its driver who hit bhavana's car.(I really thought one of our villians were in action)
..............
These are a few differences me and my brother could find between SAJ and BigB
1)The former has Lal and the latter Mammotty. So the walking sequences are a bit prolonged in the former.(ALmost all the other scenes, actors and props are the same, except for a Hummer, the aircraft and the sniper)
2)Mammootty uses a Safari in Big B but Mohanlal goes around in a Hummer in this one

Even the beats of the song "Vennilave" had a faint hint of "muthumazha" of Big B.

The only good thing about SAJ was Lal's taklu Bodyguard But unfortunately he gets killed and in the entire movie he doesnt have even a single dialogue. ;-(

Affection In Your Eyes

You have met my undying fervour with silence

Why would you respond, when you deny I exist?

Oh! The agony those avoiding eyes have caused

They stole my sleep and were gone

2 Harihar Nagar

They are Back, and How!!!

After a long time a real entertainer.

Gr8 Work Lal!!

When almost all the sequels were disappointing, 2HariharNagar not only lives upto the mark of its original but was able to provide the entertainment quotient which the current movies are lacking.

The Foursome (Appukuttan, Govindankutty, mahadevan and thomas kutty)had me in splits for the entire 2 and half hours.
